Registration fees, straight to your account

Best for most leagues taking cards online. Money goes to your league’s bank account on a schedule you choose.

1. Create your account

1. Go to dashboard.stripe.com/register and sign up with your league’s email.
2. Choose Canada, then complete “Activate payments”: organisation type (non-profits choose Non-profit), your details and the bank account for payouts.

2. Copy your keys

1. In Stripe, turn on Test mode and open Developers → API keys.
2. Copy the Publishable key (pk_test_…) and the Secret key (sk_test_…).
3. In SportsNavio open Settings → Payments, choose Stripe, paste both keys and save.

3. Try it, then go live

1. Register a test player and pay with the card 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date and any CVC.
2. When it works, copy the live keys (pk_live_ / sk_live_) into Settings and save.

💡 Refunds can be made from the registration in SportsNavio; they go back to the card through Stripe.

Good if you already sell at the canteen or pro shop with a Square reader: everything lands in one Square account.

1. Create a developer app

1. Sign in at developer.squareup.com/apps with your Square account and create an application (e.g. “Registration”).
2. Copy the access token and your Location ID.

2. Connect SportsNavio

1. Settings → Payments: choose Square, paste the token and Location ID, and save.
2. Use the step-by-step box in Settings to add the webhook so payments are marked paid automatically.

💡 Families pay on Square’s secure payment page and come straight back to their registration.

Lets families pay with their PayPal account or a card through PayPal.

1. Get your credentials

1. You need a PayPal Business account (paypal.com/ca/business).
2. At developer.paypal.com → Apps & Credentials, create an app and copy the Client ID and Secret.

2. Connect and test

1. Settings → Payments: choose PayPal, paste them and save.
2. Add the webhook shown in Settings so payments are confirmed even if a family closes the window.

💡 Refunds made in SportsNavio go back through PayPal.

Free or cheap for most Canadian accounts, and every family knows how to use it.

1. At your bank

1. Register a receiving email in your league’s online banking (e.g. treasurer@yourleague.ca).
2. Turn on Autodeposit so families don’t need a security question.

2. In SportsNavio

1. Settings → Payments: tick “Let families pay later” and write the instructions they see (e-Transfer email, cheque payable to…).
2. Choose whether unpaid registrations hold a spot.

3. When the money arrives

1. Open the registration and press Record payment, or tick several on the Registrations list.

💡 Families get a receipt when you record their payment, and the dashboard shows what is still owing.
